The Spirit of St. Louis model has arrived at the Wings of the North Air Museum. This model, built as a stage prop by Warner Brothers Studios for the movie starring Jimmy Stewart in the ’50’s, used to hang in the south end of the ticketing area of Terminal 1 at MSP and was mothballed after a remodel of the terminal.

We were given permission to display it in an arrangement with the Metropolitan Airports Commission. It was loaded it in a truck and brought it to the WOTN museum yesterday. We are putting it together and getting it spruced up.
Watch our website for an announcement when she is ready to go on display.
